Edutainment is made up from two concepts: Education & Entertainment. It refers to interactive entertainment software used in schools or similar educational institutions. Edutainment (also educational entertainment or entertainment-education) is a form of entertainment designed to educate as well as to amuse. Although this concept is initially defined as an alternative technique for tutoring, it is widely used in different areas to educate adults as well. Various groups in the US and the UK have used edutainment to address such health and social issues as substance abuse, immunization, teenage pregnancy, HIV / AIDS, and cancer.
